Angelo Ravasini (1944-2013)
Parma, Emilia. A poche settimane di distanza da Lou Reed ci lascia un altro grandissimo cantante-chitarrista malato da tempo, il front-man di un gruppo che ha fatto la storia della musica "beat": I Corvi.
e tu ti prendi gioco di meeeeee"
Fonda insieme a Gimmi Ferrari (scomparso nel 2006) il gruppo nel 1965 a Parma, cominciano ad esibirsi in molti locali della bassa, con un repertorio di cover italianizzate di successi americani, dove vengono notati dal grande produttore Alfredo Rossi, che li mette sotto contratto.
Partecipano al cantagiro con "Un Ragazzo di Strada" cover del successo dei Brogues "I Ain't No Miracle Worker" ottenendo un grande successo.
Poi arrivano "Bang Bang" cover del successo di Sonny and Cher e "Bambolina" cover di "Any day now" di Burt Bacharach e tante altre.
Insomma prendevano musiche di altri e confezionavano un prodotto all'altezza. Attività che metaforicamente a noi piace un sacco e che applichiamo in tutto ciò che facciamo.
Il gruppo si scioglie dopo pochi anni e viene rimesso in piedi da Ravasini nel 2000, con altri componenti e tuttora si esibiscono. Recentemente sono stati gratificati da una cover di un artista sempre molto originale.
